Accounts Receivable Specialist

Demco is currently accepting applications for our full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist position working onsite at our Madison, Wisconsin facility Monday through Friday day shift. Join an exceptional team that supports our education and library customers along with the processes they must follow-up process our invoices.
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist you will:
- Provide professional assistance to customers regarding AR related questions
- Apply payments, process credit and rebills, generate proforma invoices, and apply exemptions certificates to customer accounts
- Balance the AR account compared to reports daily
- Research account discrepancies for internal and external customers
- Process sales tax returns
- Release applicable A/R holds on incoming orders
- Review credit worthiness, establish payment terms, and research fraud orders
- Make collection calls and take collections actions when necessary
- Assist with audit requests
- Perform daily, weekly, and months tasks related to audits, reconciliation, and balancing
To be qualified for the role, you will have:
- an Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of accounts receivable experience with focus on collections
- Ability to problem solve in the moment
- Desire to anticipate needs of the customer and the team and proactively help where you are needed
- Effective communication skills
- Experience with MS Office software with intermediate Excel experience
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- MD-Dynamics ERP experience a plus
